With Rosh Hashanah approaching, why not have a family resolution-making session over dinner? Children can make their own too. Examples could include promising to make their bed every day or unloading the dishwasher. You could set up group resolutions like a promise to have a screen-free day once a week or to go for walks as a family more often. Why not put everybody’s resolutions on the fridge door where everybody can see them? There’s less chance of quitting or giving up on a resolution if you work as a team. Here are the PJ team’s personal resolutions. Shanah tovah!
Lauren | UK Director
Look up, instead of down, by spending less time on my phone!
Sara Community | Community and Manager
Every Rosh Hashanah I promise myself that I will make the time to paint more. I make time for a couple of weeks and love it, and then the intention and time just evaporates.
Dasha | Family Outreach Coordinator
To trade perfectionism for quality time with my children, especially ‘one-on-one’ time with my twins.
Lisa | Customer Services and Communications Manager
To be more patient with my children, to listen and react calmly even when pushed to the limit. Also to consume less sugar (though I break this resolution swiftly every year!)
Madelyn | Chair of the UK Content Advisory Committee
To be more “present” – to live more in the moment, appreciate the small things and try to focus on the positive.
