Make Place Cards for Your Seder

Illustration of place card that says Aunt Rachel with cat drawing

Pesach requires that we welcome guests to the seder table, but the mitzvah of hachnasat orchim holds true all year round. The next time your family hosts dinner guests, make personalized place cards to help make each guest feel welcome.

This Activity Works With These Books:

The Best Four Questions
Lotsa Matzah
Mrs. Katz and Tush

SUPPLIES

Thin cards
Markers
Stickers

DIRECTIONS

  1. Fold thin cards in half.
  2. On one side, write the guests’ names and decorate however you wish.
  3. You can even personalize the decorations— if Aunt Rachel loves cats, draw a picture of a cat.
  4. Write questions on the inside of the place cards that guests can ask. Soon all your guests will be deep in conversation—and feel right at home.
