Five Ingredient Recipes: Fruity Chocolate Tiffin by Family Friends Food

An Image of Roasted Carrots

If there’s one thing the team has learnt during five years of PJ Library in the UK, it’s how much our families love a good child-friendly recipe! We got in touch with five of our favourite cooks who shared their FIVE ingredient recipes to help celebrate FIVE years of Jewish bedtime stories. We’ve let them have those store cupboard essentials (olive oil, stock cubes, salt and pepper) and after testing these ourselves, feel confident it won't just be our own families enjoying these delicious foods.

Fruity Chocolate Tiffin

These super-fruity chocolate squares are easy to make, good for a lunchbox snack and would be a lovely after-dinner treat with a coffee too.

Ingredients:

  • 200 g dark chocolate (divided into 150g for the tiffin and 50g for the topping)
  • 50 g butter or margarine
  • 110 g plain biscuits e.g. shortbread or rich tea
  • 150 g mixed dried and candied fruits e.g. dried apricots, figs, raisins, cranberries, candied pineapple, glace cherries etc.
  • 15 g white chocolate for decoration
