It Costs A Lot To Be This Free

PJ Library books and resources are free for families to receive – but of course they aren’t free. Books cost money. So do postage, storage, programming and staff. We don’t charge parents – even those who can afford it – because our top priority is getting these resources in the hands of families. A constellation of thousands of funders comes together to make PJ Library possible.

The Harold Grinspoon Foundation generously pays for the global infrastructure; however, each PJ Library programme must contribute to the costs in their local area. Here in the UK we are lucky to have the support of foundations and families. This enables us to deliver over 6,500 books each month to children throughout the UK. We are ambitious and want to reach even more families raising Jewish children – and we need your help to do so.

Through our spring Pay It Forward campaign, we ask families to pay the gift of PJ Library forward and help cover the costs for others. Your £40 donation will pay for a full year of PJ Library for one child. A  £400 gift covers the cost of 10 children, and £4,000 helps us reach 100 children and their families. Whatever you can give would be gratefully received. Thank you for helping us grow.
