Running Together – Apart!

A info banner for the Maccabi GB online fun run

On Sunday 24 May 2020 Maccabi GB will be organising the Maccabi GB Community Fun Run @Home Online and asking the community to run, walk, hop or skip 1km, 5km or 10km at home, whilst getting sponsored to do so.

Get Inspired!

You don’t need to be super fit to take part. Choose your distance and method of movement. This could be going on a family walk as part of your daily exercise, skipping around your garden, going up and down the stairs at home or hop to the top of your road and back.

There are no rules (apart from the current Government Guidelines on how to exercise safely during this time). Whatever you can do, you can take part and be as creative as possible.

Fundraise!

Decide how your family are going to participate on the day. You could download our pack of medals or make some delicious chocolate chip energy balls that will be available on the PJ Library Facebook page. If you enjoy your monthly books, then consider raising funds for PJ Library to help us reach even more families with the much-loved books and resources.

Training!

So, you have decided on a challenge, you’ve signed up and you’ve created a fundraising page. Now it’s time to start training.

Maccabi GB will be publishing a range of videos over the next few weeks to help you get ready for your Challenge and to encourage more people to sign up.

You can share your training on social media to help your fundraising or nominate your friends and family to get involved as well. We would love to see pictures of your training routes and distances, or videos of you during training.

On the Day: Sunday 24th May 2020

You have all day to complete your challenge! We want to see everyone posting pictures and videos of you completing your challenge, including pictures of your route and distance, or of you and your family having a go at the challenge at home. Maccabi GB are working with so many charities and organisations across the UK to make this one ENORMOUS community fun – even if it is happening in each of our homes. We hope you can be part of it!
