Why do we eat latkes?
In the Chanukah story one tiny jar of oil keeps the lamps burning for eight full nights. Since Chanukah celebrates this miracle, it's traditional to eat foods fried in oil as part of the festivities. Learn more and watch some latke-making experts in the video below:

Once you’ve got the basics down latkes are luckily pretty easy to master. These tasty, carb-tastic treats also make a good go-to breakfast, brunch, or breakfast for dinner, fill-in any time of year.
