2019/2020 PJ Library Family Survey: The Results are In!
To help better understand the impact of its programme, at the end of 2019 PJ Library completed a wide-ranging survey of its subscriber families in the UK and received close to 600 survey responses.
The results highlight how PJ Library books and resources are having a positive impact within Jewish households in the UK.
A VALUABLE TOOL FOR PARENTS
Of the parents who responded, 93% said that PJ Library has supported their family in having conversations about Jewish life and 86% of respondents indicated PJ Library has been a valuable parenting tool.
A PORTRAIT OF PJ LIBRARY FAMILIES
The diverse range of PJ Library families reflects the full breadth and spectrum of Jewish life in the UK, from how they practice Judaism to their family makeup. Although PJ Library families are varied, they almost universally value the experience of receiving free Jewish books in their homes.
The results also showed how families are using the books to learn more as a family. Four out of five parents found the inside cover book flaps useful in facilitating discussions. In addition, more than two-thirds of families have used PJ Library’s online resources including the blog, Facebook page and monthly e-newsletter (let us know if you don’t seem to be getting yours!).
