PJ Library Family Stories: Pencharz Family

To celebrate PJ Library’s fifth Birthday in the UK, we are highlighting five PJ Library families, who feel PJ Library has played a significant role in the family’s access to Jewish education.

Deborah Pencharz and her family live in Brighton. She loves how PJ Library books engage her children in Jewish activities:

We are a multifaith family from different cultural backgrounds. PJ Library books are a vital tool for our family to help normalise Judaism and keep it fun. The kids enjoy reading books about modern-day Jewish children and can see themselves in PJ Library stories, especially as they aren’t exposed to Judaism day to day.

Zachary:

I really like when the PJ Library books come in the post especially for me. It’s great to read books and stories that are about other Jewish children and families.

Deborah and Zachary’s story is just one of many that we receive every year illustrating how PJ Library impacts families across the UK.
